About this project

In 2012 Rev Gita Putce asked me to record instrumental music on the kokle that could be used at funerals. The songs in this album are Latvian folk melodies about the topics of dying, orphans and commemoration of the dead. The music can also be used for various types of events and occasions when sorrowful or meditative music is required.
